The smallest are more the 40 feet long (13.3 metres long). The Largest are 75 feet (or so) long (around 25 feet). Their wing span double their length. These huge wings are needed to fly to lift the dragon's weight. Dragons eat sheep, cows, horses, and any large animals. Dragons are extremely intelligent, So smart that they can speak, understand the way of the humans, and can also read (though this is rarely). Dragons breath hot fire. The fire is produced by flammable venom. Dragons secrete a piece of iron pyrite in their lower jaw. When they release the venom, they also jiggle their jaw and thus create sparks from the pyrite, and the sparks ignite the venom. The dragon's fire is used for a weapon for other dragons or to burn cities. A dragon's fire is usually orange yellow, with a tint of red. but fire can be more yellow, more red or more orange. They also have scales that are as harder than diamond or rubies. Dragons can be red, gold, orange, blue, or green. Dragons can live for a very long time. Most can live up to 250 to 500. Oldest can live up to 600 to 1000 to do this the dragon has to be a skillful hunter and be very healthy. Dragons live in caves,Usually has gold inside to protect the dragon's belly. They also can be seen in abandoned castles and fortresses.
Wyvern - The Wyvern is an desert dragon that is very closely related to the Dragon. It is also the world's largest dragon. They have only two large back feet, three forward pointing toes, possibly for grasping large prey. The central toe of a fully-grown Wyvern can become as large as a young teenager! As they live in deserts and savannas, their main prey is hippos, rhinos, elephants and other large herbivores, excluding giraffes. Although, like its smaller cousin, the Dragon, they will play with their food. Albeit a different manner, these giants will scoop up their prey (still alive), take it to their nest and tease it. Squeezing and squashing, this is how they have fun. Pinning a hippo underneath its massive tail, or sending a lioness or zebra flying with a flick of a finger. Or perhaps taking advantage of a rhinos' poor eyesight tempting it to charge straight into its mouth. Teeth and claws are used in battles with rival males, and the tail is used to employ a powerful lash. They are known to breathe fire, but seldom do. However, most Wyverns can, instead blow out a powerful hurricane force wind. Wyverns usually fly at an altitude that makes it difficult to spot from the ground, however, in the spring and early summer, males can be seen doing the most amazing mid-air acrobatics, in an attempt to win over a female. The wyvern attacks by dropping from a great height and using its great weight to crush its prey, before carrying it somewhere more practical to eat. No animal is safe from these brutes, elephants, lions, they are all crushed to bits. They are usually green or greenish brown in color, with pale underparts. Some older specimens develop lime-green spots on the outer edges of the wings. The Wyvern has larger scales and fewer spines running along their back than most species, allowing riders to comfortably straddle some of the more friendly Wyverns, although a saddle is still recommended for long-term. The wings have long spines on their tips, and the head has simple head frills and chin bristles. A Wyverns call is a crow-like caw when in flight, or a low, growling roar when attacking. The habitat of one of these creatures is the large open spaces, as wyverns are nomadic by nature, while the lair is a rocky crag or, occasionally, a circular nest in a remote area of sand dunes and grass.
Griffins - The griffin is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle's talons as its front feet. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffin was also thought of as king of the creatures. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions. In legend, griffins not only mated for life, but if either partner died, then the other would continue the rest of its life alone, never to search for a new mate. A griffin's claw was believed to have medicinal properties and one of its feathers could restore sight to the blind.
Chimeras - The chimera is a fire-breathing female and male creature composed of the parts of three animals — a lion, a snake and a goat. Usually depicted as a lion, with the head of a goat arising from its back, and a tail that ended in a snake's head.
Kelpies - a kelpie is a mythical horse-like creature that lives in rivers and lakes. From Celtic legend is often described as sturdy pony, white or black in color. They are tricksters, luring unsuspecting people into the water where it eats them. Similar horse-like creatures appear in many different mythologies around the world. If you should happen to own a Kelpie, the first thing you should do is establish ground manners. While riding one on trail is fine, take great caution when near water. In fact, it might be advisable to dismount to avoid having the Kelpie pull you under.
